The compact motor inverter is particularly suited to simple applications and guarantees a high level of energy efficiency. Devices which can be mounted either on the geared motor or on the wall are available in a power range from 0.37 to 1.5 kW (power extensions to follow).

Thanks to its robust design and high degree of protection (up to IP66), the 8400 motec can be mounted directly on the motor or in its immediate vicinity. This offers a number of key advantages: saving space in the control cabinet, reducing the length of shielded motor cables and quick commissioning via plug-in technology (Plug and Drive).

The 8400 motec's modular and "sophisticated design", consisting of the "Power section", "Communication and I/O" and "Connection system" modules, is indicative of its flexibility. The inverter is mounted on the motor using just four screws.

The large LED, visible from some distance, shows the status during operation. Intermittent blinking indicates the cause of errors, making diagnostics clear and simple. The replaceable memory module simplifies standard set-up and increases system availability.
